Marie Curie  (short name: Marie Curie) (7 November 1867 - 4 July 1934) was a well-known physicist and chemist. Marie discovered radium. He is the first scientist to be awarded the Nobel Prize in two branches of science (Physics and Chemistry). Both daughters of the scientific mother also received the Nobel Prize. The elder daughter Irene received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1935, when the younger daughter Eve received the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1965.

Marie was born in Warsaw, Poland. Due to being a woman, then in Warsaw, it was allowed only for limited education. So they had to get higher education by concealing them. Later, due to the financial assistance of the elder sister, she came to Paris to study physics and mathematics. He has the distinction of becoming the first woman to complete a doctorate in France. He also got the distinction of being the first woman to become a professor at the University of Paris. Here he met Pierre Curie, who became his husband. The scientific couple discovered the important role of polonium in 1898. A few months later, he also searched for radium. This proved to be a significant revolutionary discovery in the treatment of medical science and diseases. In the year 1903, Marie Curie passed the Ph.D. Completed it In this year, the couple received the Nobel Prize in Physics for the discovery of radioactivity.  In 1911 they also received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for Isolation of Pure Radium in the field of Chemistry. He is the first scientist to be awarded the Nobel Prize in two branches of science. Both daughters of the scientist mother also received the Nobel Prize.
