Bihu is the name of the National Festival of Assam which is one of the most beautiful states of India, which is considered for tea gardens, powerful Brahmaputra river, and green forests.
Apart from this Assam state is considered for the festival of Bihu, which shows a group of three different cultural festivals of the state. The word ‘Bihu’ originates from a word that means ‘world’.
This is a cheerful festival of Assam which is celebrated by the locals in spite of caste, creed, and faith.
In one year, Assamese celebrates three different types of Bihu festivals, which are Bohag Bihu in the month of April, Madhya Bihu in the middle of January and Katy Bihu between October.
