Biography Sarojini Naidu


Sarojini Naidu :Sarojini Naidu (13 February 1879 – 2 March 1949) was born in Hyderabad city of India. His father, Aghornath Chattopadhyay, was a renowned scholar and mother was poetess and used to write in Bengali.

Due to his sharpness from his childhood, he passed the 12th standard short examination of 12 years with good marks and made a poem named Lady of the Lake at the age of 13.

He went to England to receive higher education in 1895 and continued to write poems along with studies. Golden Threshold was his first collection of poems.

His second and third poem collection Bird of Time and Broken Wing made him a well-known poet.In 1898, Sarojini Naidu became the life-partner of Dr. Govind Rajulu Naidu. In 1914, he met Gandhiji for the first time in England and was impressed with his ideas and became dedicated to the country.

Like a skilled commander, he introduced his talent to every field (satyagraha or talk of organization). He led many national movements and went to jail. Do not be afraid of the crises, they roam the villages and villages like a patient of courage, and they kept on spreading the love of this country and love and reminded the countrymen about their duty.

Annie Besant and this dear disciple of Gandhiji offered all my life for the country. He died on March 2, 1949. On February 13, 1964, the Government of India issued a postmarket of 15 new money in his honor on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

Some leaders were given jobs in government machinery and administration. Among them, Sarojini Naidu was one.He was appointed the governor of Uttar Pradesh.

It was the largest province in the country in terms of expansion and population. Recognizing that position, he said, ‘I am feeling like a prisoner of the forest that has been imprisoned.’

But he could not avoid the wishes of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who had deep love and affection towards him.

So he settled in Lucknow and played his political duties through courtesy and glorious behavior there.
